This article covers so much ground and goes into a wide spectrum of references that it may (maybe) struggle to come together to a conclusion, even as it is a very valid viewpoint it has explored here despite the difficulties in navigating through the noise around the subject.

A big part of the challenge ofcourse is in the topic itself (are there two here?). What is DT or is the attempt here to discuss DT as viewed through the narrow lens of the IT firms marketing speak or is it both?

Interest in DT actually peaked in 2016 and this Davos conversation remains a classic to even this day, 3 and half years later.

Davos 2016 - The Digital Transformation of Industries

Ofcourse, it is easier to sort out the IT services firms and their work (more IT Transformation couched as Digital, perhaps Digital/Cloud Engineering best describes their work) since it is definitely not strategy or a new mindset thinking kind of work (although never should a CEO underestimate downstream execution complexities with tech.). But, the description at the end is too broad/nebulous/a bit of a catch all in scope, it kind of maybe says, in some resignation....it's everything business.

Sure it is!🙂.
